The Procession of the Holy Mysteries
The emblematic Camprodon Procession of the Holy Mysteries has been celebrated in the municipality for more than thirty years, and, even though a procession held on Maundy Thursday is referenced in records dating as far back as 1867, the tradition died out with the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War.
In 1986, the desire and drive for resurrecting this forgotten tradition led to a decision being made to revive the Procession and transform it into a professional, religious and cultural event with the result that it has now become consolidated, with several stages of the cross represented which are, either by various families in the municipality or the Parish of Santa Maria itself, complemented by groups of Romans, troops, bands and the children’s groups.
