The Isaac Albéniz Festival
Isaac Albéniz Pascual was a famous composer and pianist born in Camprodon, who gave his first piano performance at the age of four at the Romea Theatre in Barcelona in 1864.
In order to celebrate his illustrious career, the Isaac Albéniz de Camprodon Museum Public Foundation organises a music festival every year, with a line up featuring performances from established musicians as well as new young talents. This festival, the first of which commemorated the 125th anniversary of the composer’s birth, has now been running for 25 years. The Foundation redoubles its efforts each year to further consolidate the festival’s prestige and publicise the event to a wider audience.

The towns
The Vila de Camprodon is the municipal capital and is surrounded by other urban centres and neighbourhoods with their own distinctive personalities and characteristics. Fall in love with the picture-postcard village of Beget, wander among the ruins of Rocabruna, enjoy the nature and fauna of Cavallera and explore the history of Salarsa as you discover the towns and villages of our municipality. Specifically, the Vila de Camprodon comprises the Estabanell Colony, the neighbourhood of Cavallera, the grand houses of Mariner, Sitjar and Resclusanys, the neighbourhood of Freixenet, the residential area of Font Rubí, and in the Alta Garrotxa region, the villages of Rocabruna and Beget. Bolós, Bestraçà, Font Rubí and Creixenturri also form part of the municipality.
