Carme Convent

Located in the Vila de Baix (lower town), this church, as its name implies, used to be a Carmelite convent. Its construction dates from the fourteenth century.

The convent chapel houses the stages of the cross carried in the Procession of the Holy Mysteries that takes place every Good Friday. Some of the convent’s pieces dating back to medieval times are currently housed at other sites around Camprodon.
