Font del Boix (Boxwood Fountain)
The Font del Boix is located halfway up to the Creueta mountain pass, which once offered fantastic views of Camprodon, now obscured by the surrounding vegetation.
The numerous boxwood trees (boixos) that stand behind the fountain pay tribute to its name, although the area boasts a diverse range of tree species. An abundant stream of water still flows below the fountain’s enclosure. A monument dedicated to Cèsar August Torras, considered the first great promoter of hiking in Catalonia can also be found nearby.
Visit this fountain in autumn to see it at its most splendid moment, adorned by the red leaves of the surrounding trees.
